The pursuit of quality and excellence and giving these talents to the people who need it the most is, for persons with passions like ours, our ultimate goal. We create what they need by providing original, quality and valuable information that would greatly enhance their current being.
Still, we also have to make sure that we market our value to the right people at the right time and place otherwise they won’t be pleased. So before they see your value, you need to reach out to them first.
Remember on Day Five, you were taught to create a welcoming article about the overall value and purpose of your blog. When you market your value you must go to the exact people who are more likely will see value in what you created. This involves emailing your friends, joining forums, chat-rooms, social media sites, groups and other similar places that involve personal interactions that are related to your passion. Once you are a member of these groups, don’t barge in yet and wave your product (your blog) in their faces. Most likely, they will not trust you. It’s important to build relationship first, make friends, since these will be the same people that will become your support group.
Once they are comfortable with you that is the time to invite them to your blog. Show them around your site. Typically, they will notice the value right away when they see it. They will then get interested in it and will become your repeat visitors, since it caters to their needs. You will not only increase the visitors of your website but also enhance your reputation in these groups. Word-of-Mouth marketing kicks in.
The Word-of-Mouth marketing only works when the person values your work or is interested in what you created. What happens is that the people who value your work will be the ones telling their friends or referring it to those who need it. At the same time their interested friends also tell their friends, so on and so forth. Your website traffic will just explode. This is the only type of marketing that has existed since man began to walk on the face of the earth: a type of marketing that is timeless, tested for thousands of years and unshaken by any modern day marketing process.
My brother Larry, a Computer Engineer, is a Search Engine Optimizer (SEO.) Larry works with one of the prominent SEO companies. The job of an SEO is to help clients rank high, using certain keyword searches, on a search engine like Google. I’m sure you are familiar with Google. Every time you do a keyword search, their search engine will then provide links of websites related to what you are searching. Some of these websites are maintained by SEOs. They do a lot of SEO practices just to make these websites remain on top, and the website owners are paying them huge amounts of money to maintain them. Some web owners do their own SEO thingy; lucky for them. Being on the first page means everything, because they will get huge web traffic or visitors going to their sites.
The reason that I brought out SEO is because we will compare it with Word-of-Mouth marketing. SEO is also part of the modern day online marketing techniques. If you are a web owner and who lacks the ability to create quality and value for your site, then SEOs will greatly help you a lot. But, this comes with a huge price. Indeed, your blog or website will be on the first page of the Google search. What if you can no longer afford their SEO fees? Your site will also slowly drift off to the 100th page of Google’s search results, and your website traffic will also respond accordingly.
With Word-of-Mouth marketing, you simply don’t pay for anything and you are not even dependent on any search engines or even an SEO professional to maintain your site just to provide constant website traffic of real people. Like I said, with Word-of-Mouth marketing, you will have an unlimited flow of website traffic.
Here’s the thing: they are more likely to become dependent on you, including Google. When you provide value to your site, other web owners and bloggers will also gladly link to your site since you are providing original and valuable contents that are also related to their sites and useful for their visitors. Thus, when their visitors see your link on their website and click on it they will be redirected to your site, hence additional web traffic. Google will even depend on your website or blog if it contains the criterion they are looking for. You don’t even need SEO to force Google to like you. Google’s needs are very simple. Provide them with original, quality and valuable information that humans can read and understand. That’s it and there’s no need to complicate it with all that SEO mumbo-jumbo. Just focus on doing the 9 Living Responsibilities of a Blogger each time you create an article before you share it to people with passions like yours.
Another thing: if you have a website or blog, there is nothing wrong with linking to another site that provides value for your visitors. The more your site will link to other useful sites that are related to your passion, Google will also find you valuable because you are helping them provide more value on the Internet. Google and other search engines are constantly improving their algorithms in order to provide quality searches for their end-users.
No matter what niche you are currently in, your next objective is to create website traffic. Having website traffic or visitors is the lifeblood of your site. Without the constant flow of real people going to your site, it’s good as dead. It’s like creating a beautiful and very expensive billboard in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
The monetization of all sites greatly depends on the number of people visiting your site. As your web traffic increases, your earning potential will also increase. Indeed, the Internet provides chump change during the early stages of your sites development. But if you do it right in the beginning, the volume of your visitors will gradually increase and so will your income potential.
The Affiliate Marketing process is very simple in concept. This is how it works: look for ways to drive visitors to your site. While your visitors are on your website, you pre-sell to them. After pre-selling, you refer your visitors to another site that provides the product or services, and in return for giving them leads, they will offer incentives, rewards, or certain fees for your marketing efforts. “That’s easy.” You say. Why then do ninety-seven percent (97%) of affiliate marketers fail? That’s what you are going to find out during this thirty (30) day module, or twenty-three (23) to be exact since this is the seventh (7th) teaching.
If you noticed, the first seven days are about creating quality and value because these things are the first principle and foundation that you need in order to succeed online. You will not find this concept anywhere else on the Internet, otherwise they copied it here. All of the writings are based on my experiences.
The first seven (7) days can be summarized in to this first principle and foundation:
Our website or blog is created for quality, excellence and value with the purpose of providing services to the people who need it: those who have the same passions that relates to our site’s main topic.
The rest of the things like our knowledge, abilities, skills, and passion and among others are there to help build the value of our site.
We always go back to our previous articles to re-read them and improve. That way we increase their value. There is no such thing as perfect but we can always strive for quality.
It doesn’t matter what kind of blog topic you choose. There is always somebody who needs it. Choose a topic from your passion and be consistently providing value to the person who needs it.
If you are still not convinced, that giving valuable readings or article content is the secret, I want you to Google search the most important service that a blogger must provide to his fellowmen. Search this keyword now – “Valuable Readings”, surely you will understand why Google also depends on me, they want VALUE.
Are you still not convinced? Google search the most important character that you must have as a blogger. Search this keyword now – “Give to Everybody” and you will understand why Google favours the generous ones.
The rest of the online world will depend on you once you start to give valuable readings to everybody. I suggest reviewing starting with Day One.
You have only begun to tap into the few secrets that I know. As an Engineer, I was moulded to design, as well as to analyze the complexities of things. Things that you will eventually learn here.
Next week, we will be focusing on how to further create articles that your visitors will love and what Google likes.
Happy Weekend!
